Millions of Valentine's cards are given out each February for a variety of reasons.  It will range from Grade school classmates to couples who have spent a lifetime together.  All of these sharing love, in differing degrees, with someone they care about.  There is a love that surpasses the expression of any Valentine card, and can be shared with all those we care about:  The Love of God.

So, if you could share One thing with those you really care about, what would it be?

While there are many things to be shared between loved ones, many times we miss what is of the greatest importance.  Do we share what will bring eternal gain with those we love?

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
                                       John 3:16

I want to share the great news that God loves you and made a way for us to have a relationship with Him.

1.  We are sinners, and He still loves us!

Rom. 5:8 - "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

- The word sin means to miss the mark. All of us are wrong before God, but He still has a great love for each one.

2.  Sin has a Penalty.

Rom. 6:23a - "For the wages of sin is death …"

- What we earn with our sin is spiritual death.  We are separated from God, and, on our own, would stay separated for eternity.

3.  Jesus Paid the Price.

1 Peter 2:24 - "and He [Jesus] Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross …"

- I have a debt from sin that I could never repay, but Jesus took my entire debt, and paid it in full.  He didn’t have any sin, but took the punishment for mine.

4.  Receive Forgiveness today.

Rom. 6:23b - "… but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

- This same verse, that above tells of our debt, also offers the greatest gift of all time.  God offers you total forgiveness for your sin through Christ.  Just like any gift, you must receive it for it to be your own.

5.  Talk with God in Prayer.

Rom. 10:10 - "for with the heart a person believes, ... and with the mouth he confesses …"

- Receiving God’s gift involves talking to the Lord, telling Him you know you’re wrong before Him, and that you want to accept His offer of forgiveness through Jesus’ death on the cross.

As one who has experienced this forgiveness in my own life, I care about this important decision for you.  If I can help in any way, please contact me.  If you have not received Him, why not pray now to receive forgiveness and an eternal relationship with God?
